Volunteer, Internships and Board Member Opportunities

If yes, Empowered Women International has some exciting volunteer and board members opportunities to share with you. Read the opportunities below and email Marga if you might be interested in any of them.


Volunteer/Internship Opportunities


Grant Writer – 20 hours/month – can work remotely, but need to live in the DC area, so we can meet when necessary, plan and communicate effectively

Researcher – 10 hours/month


Development Officer
– 15 hours/week – ideally a retired professional with experience in donor cultivation, grant writing and direct mail.

Office and Outreach Manager – 8 hours/week – needs to work in EWI’s office in Alexandria, VA. Performs administrative duties, and conducts marketing and outreach efforts. The ideal volunteer has excellent written and oral communication skills, can work well independently as well as in teams, and is motivated, creative and entrepreneurial.

Gallery Manager – 10 hours/month – organize and coordinate gallery openings, receptions and art events through our traveling A Woman’s Story Gallery


Board Members Vacancies

We are looking to recruit 3 new board members with great communication and leadership skills, passion for empowering women and artists, and expertise in accounting and financial management, communication, marketing and fundraising.
